Cost Management
Our methodology involves applying best practices and improving resource utilization to find the efficiencies and opportunities to reduce costs that strict unit cost bidding does not. We perform a procurement process using available, qualified service providers and negotiate best pricing based upon our broader buying power. Heritage Interactive Services utilizes a customized Internet based system to improve data tracking and reduce the administrative burden to our customers and service partners.
The results of our programs are far greater than a simple reduction in unit prices
Improvements and Solutions included in typical Cost Savings:
• New or improved rebates, i.e. creation of new recycling streams that generate rebates, improvement in volume of existing recycled material, increase in value of existing recycled material or change of indices, or increase in rebate formula
• Logistic changes that result in overall lower cost for service may or may not include service type change
• Unit price reductions on unchanged by-products through market share buying power
• Solutions that eliminate purchasing costs for MRO and other operating considerations, i.e. the use of recyclable materials rather than recurring supply purchases
• Green product and supply solutions that also reduce the cost of energy usage in addition to reducing the quantity of by-products generated and the cost of managing by-products
